A Trip Down Memory Lane

March 11, 2021

Cahill’s Cheese has evolved and grown since first production in the 1970’s. In this photo reel we have five labels that were used over the last 40 years. In those 40 years has seen some great changes. During the 70’s Marian and David Cahill began experimenting by producing some soft cheeses and butter from our dairy herd.

Never did we think that our business would grow to the level where it is at today. None of this would have been possible without all the fantastic help we received throughout the years from past & current workers, Bord Bia, key partners and suppliers, etc. Cahill’s Cheese are forever grateful for the help it has received on our journey.

In this video we take a look at how much our brand has changed over the years. Davey Cahill our Father designed our first three labels by hand. David is a talented drawer and this is very evident in the labels. There is some wonderful detail in these labels. The horses ploughing the fields showed the work farmers carried out many of years ago in order to produce food.

In the mid 2000’s we upgraded our label to a more modern look. We no longer had to glue the label on the front of the cheese we were now able to apply by sticker. This sped up manufacturing time allowing us to produce more cheese and expand our company. In 2006 we moved manufacturing from our old factory to new larger modern facility. Cahill’s Cheese was evolving and growing.

In 2016 we totally redesigned our brand. This took a lot of hard work and we are very proud with the finished product. Without Bord Bia and Mesh Designs none of this was possible and we would like to thank them for helping us define our brand and logo. Today our brand can be found anywhere in the world and this is something we take great pride in. I receive pictures on social media from stores, customers and businesses all over the world from the US to Japan to Australia every week.
