Cahills Cheese turns to Solar Power Energy

February 24, 2020

At Cahills Cheese we have recently installed a photovoltaic solar energy system of 30kwg. We have been trying to reduce our carbon footprint in recent years. This is a big step to becoming more sustainable by reducing our carbon footprint. Cahills Cheese are proud members of Origin Green and this marks the beginning of our journey. We are now sourcing our electricity in a clean and sustainable way to produce the best quality cheese for our customers.

There are over 110 solar panels onsite. By installing the panels will help us save 15 tonnes of CO2 annually. Photovoltaic solar energy will provide green energy to our production plant. The green energy is supplied by nature. This will create no waste or emissions (Solar Panels produce no harmful emissions).

We are proud to say we have reduced our carbon footprint and we will continue to do so in the future. This is just the beginning of our journey with Origin Green and it is one we look forward too.
