Spring Onion & Garlic Cheese Scones

  • 350g self raising flour
  • 25g caster sugar
  • Vanilla essence
  • 175ml buttermilk
  • 50g grated garlic & spring onion Cahill’s cheddar
  • 50g Butter
  • Milk


  1. Turn your oven to 200 degrees
  2. Sieve 350g self raising flour and 25g of caster sugar
  3. Drop in 50g of real Irish butter
  4. Add a splash of vanilla essence
  5. Pour 175ml of buttermilk
  6. Add 50g grated spring onion & garlic cheese (Cahill’s Cheese)
  7. Mix, roll and cut using a scone cutter or the rim of a cup
  8. Place in the pre-heated oven for 15-20 mins
  9. Slice while slightly warm
  10. Butter and place a piece of cheese in the middle and watch it melt
  11. Serve and enjoy!
