Cahills Whiskey Cheese and Spring Onion Pie is the perfect dish to suit everyone. Vegetarians and meat eaters will both agree on this. This dish is very straight forward and requires very few ingredients. It is ready reasonably fast and can be served throughout the day. The perfect dish for a party with friends and families.
Ingredients
Pastry
- 1 Cup of Flour
- 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
- 125g Butter
- 1 Beaten Egg
- Pinch of Salt
Filling
- 200g Cahills Irish Whiskey Cheese
- 6 Spring Onions Chopped
- 1 Onion Chopped
- Salt and Pepper
- 2 Beaten Eggs
Method

- Get large mixing bowl from cupboard.
- Add 1 cup of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
- Add 125g of butter and 1 beaten egg.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Mix all of this together using your hands.
- Put in fridge and leave settle for 30 minutes.
- Grate 200g of Cahills Irish Whiskey Cheese.
- Chopped 6 Spring Onions.
- Beat two eggs.
- Add all of this mixture together well.
- Add a pinch of salt to this mixture.
- After 30 minutes remove the pastry from the fridge.
- Put the pasty into a greased baking dish.
- Press the pasty down using your fingers.
- Add the cheese and eggs mixture to the pastry.
- Bake at 180 Degrees for 30 – 35 minutes.
- Cool & Cut.
